Yersinia serology is no longer available.

Stool culture is the preferred test for diagnosing Yersinia pseudotuberculosis.  Paired sera collected < 1 week and > 2 weeks from onset are required to diagnose presumptive Yersinia mesenteric adenitis.  Reactive arthritis may be diagnosed from a single sample, provided other investigations are negative.  (Dr Chris Mansell, Clinical Microbiologist)
