Additional Information

The analyser at the main Laboratory changed from a e601 to a e801 on 26 August 2020. Results increased by approximately 8%  and decreased by 1 ng/L at the low end.

There are multiple causes of elevated troponin levels. The diagnosis of a Type 1 myocardial infarction requires a setting consistent with ischaemia (symptoms and/or ECG changes) and hsTnT >= 15 ng/L with a rise or fall of 50% if hsTnT is 15-50 ng/L or a rise or fall of 20% if hsTnT is greater than 50 ng/L (as per cardiology algorithm).

Minimum Volume

0.1 mL.
