Diagnostic Use Or Instructions

Following exposure, isopropanol levels above 8.3 mmol/L are considered toxic. Isopropanol  levels up to 8.3 mmol/L have been reported in patients with ketoacidosis. In patients with  ketoacidosis, acetone is metabolised to isopropanol, with the acetone level usually higher than the isopropanol level.

Additional Information

Do not swab the venepuncture site with alcohol. This test  screens for the following Alcohols: Acetone, Methanol, Ethanol, Isopropanol.

0.5 mL plasma or serum - minimal head space.
