Alpha thalassaemia screening and HbH inclusions will only be tested when relevant.

Additional Information

Includes HBA2, HBF, Alpha thalassaemia screen and Hb electrophoresis. Testing for HbH inclusions is carried out if the Alpha Thalassaemia screen is negative. (Note - Alpha thalassaemia and HbH screening are not included for babies less than 6 months of age.)
