Complement (C5)
Immunology
Complement deficiencies can be screened for by assessing the classical and alternative complement pathways. Requests for C5 will be referred to LabPlus for this. If the pathways are normal, there is no evidence of a deficiency and the individual complement does not need to be measured. Before requesting measurement of an individual complement component, please discuss with a Clinical Immunologist. (Dr Marianne Empson, Immunopathologist)
