  • Do not test for coeliac disease unless there are good clinical reasons (for example unexplained iron deficiency or symptoms of malabsorption).

Additional Information

TTG IgA and  IgA are tested when Coeliac Screen is requested.

Gliadin IgG will be tested  only if  IgA is low.

Endomysial antibody testing will be added to positive TTG IgA specimens to support diagnosis.
