Additional Information

Thiamine testing is referred to Canterbury Health Laboratories, turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks.
Testing is only indicated if there are symptoms suspicious of deficiency. Suggest to treat immediately if there is strong suspicion of thiamine deficiency and not to wait for the result.
Testing will only be performed if approved by the chemical pathologist.

Thiamine can also be performed if the patient is willing to pay $70.00.
