We have greatly reduced the amount of testing done at the hospital lab, due to use of Rapid Antigen Testing in the community.
Most PCR tests are now completed in under 24 hr.
Patients admitted to hospital generally have a stat test (ID NOW) done while in ED so their status is known when they arrive on the ward.
A small number of inpatients and staff are having RAT testing
