Respiratory Syncytial Virus case numbers continued to fall last week. We also have some Rhinovirus, ParaInfluenzavirus 3 and human Metapneumovirus.
Influenza is the next predictable major threat, but there is very little around in the Southern Hemisphere at present and it is unlikely to arrive here until quarantine free entry into NZ is reinstated. Historically, introductions during the NZ summer season (October to May) have not initiated outbreaks.
