The burden of illness from SARS-CoV-2, as assessed by inpatient admissions, has fallen from the peaks in July and August. Influenza A H3 was present in June and July but has now gone. RSV is still present, and comprises two thirds of viruses found in our Emergency Department patients. RSV is almost entirely restricted to children under the age of 5. SARS-CoV-2 is affecting those aged over 60 the most.
