Waikato Respiratory Virus Report - Week 32

Influenza numbers remain high. However, only 29% of samples are positive for Influenza A so most patients would not benefit from Oseltamivir because there a variety of other viruses circulating too. Sample numbers and Influenza A positives from community testing in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Rotorua have increased over the last 2 weeks (data not shown on these charts).
